Lily of the Bayou (Nile) (sold)

Flowers

Our home in Thibodaux, Louisiana is surrounded by lush green lawn and gardens, shaded by cypress and live oak trees planted as saplings by my husband 35 years ago. My art studio has an expanse of window providing me with a view of my patio, garden, and house. The garden has a little bit of this and a little bit of that. I love “surprises” of color and texture all year long. I have what I call a “naturalized” garden, but what others might call an overgrown mess.

The Lily of the Nile ( or “agapanthus”) is one of my favorite flowers because it is my favorite color and very easy to grow. The flower, each a delicate lily, grows in a large cluster on top of a long slender stem.
