Our Path to the Beach

At the Beach / Notecards

My family has been spending summers on Grand Isle in Louisiana all my life. Our original two bedroom family camp was built high up in the sky to keep it above the rising waters and to give us a view of the beach. It grew to 6 bedrooms to accommodate the increasing number of grand children and great grandchildren and when it full to busting at the seams my husband and I  built our own camp right next to my parents. We hope our children and grandchildren will know the joys of summers on the island. This is our pathway to the beach which we use to run across the hot sand, up and over the high levee, past tall sea oats and white morning glories, to the water’s edge.
