New Orleans is a city that enjoys a good time. Good food, good company, and good music. A genre all of its own, jazz, was born here as a mix with African, Cuban, blues, and rock n roll influences.

Satchmo

Louis Armstrong was known as “Satchmo,” short for “satchel mouth,” because of his trademark infectious wide grin. A N’Awlins native, he began singing on the street corners at the age of six and by the end of his life, he was revered as the “Father of Jazz.”
