Great Blue Herons can be found in the fresh and saltwater marshes of south Louisiana. They are sportsmen, like my husband, wading in the shallow waters spearing fish and frogs with their long ,sharp bills. This regal beauty was spotted hunting for food in the lush green water near my husband’s hunting camp south of Morgan City, Louisiana.
