The Foundry on the Bayou recently announced a call to all local artists that they will hold an art market on the first Sunday of each month starting in December 2015. It will coincide with their Sunday Brunch. Martee Artwork plans to be there for the inaugural opening. Remember, however, that my studio is open with appointments at any time and I am taking a limited number of commissions now for Christmas.
Four of my original watercolors were purchased by the Zoological Association of America to be sold at a benefit auction held in Las Vegas in a few weeks. The paintings were of a Roseate Spoonbill bird , male and female blue winged teal ducks,a school of grouper fish , and a great blue heron. Thank you !!!! I hope they are a big hit at the event!!!
I will be at this fun art event. Join me and other artists for a delightful afternoon! Hope to see you there!
My student Paul finished his painting of the Nativity. This painting will be used to make custom Christmas cards for his family. The piece is a wet on wet water color background with figures painted on paper in acrylic and cut out and positioned on the background. Paul about musically is a very bright young man and he came up with the composition on his own. He did all his own drawing and painting.
